Informatics applied to Medicine. Many people prefer the term Health Informatics, as this recognises the contribution of a wide range of different professions to this dynamic and growing field. The field can be divided into the following main areas of interest:

Introduction of systems

Change is difficult, and medical informatics is commonly mixed up in change. Planning for the introduction of a new system should start no later than production of the software[1].
